Cordoba

We left Granada after lunch on Monday and got back on the road to Cordoba. After a hair-raising drive through streets too narrow for a bicycle, let alone a car, we found our hotel, which was right opposite the Mesquite. Wished we had more time to explore Cordoba but we had to set off for Seville after exploring the Mesquite in the morning.

I'm not sure you can see from these photos, but the Mesquite was once a mosque and was turned into a Cathedral with the addition of a lot of Christian iconography. As such, it is an incongrous mix, but the Moorish architecture is impressive.
